Best Source of my Problems With Social Media

In this essay, I stated facts about the problems with social media. I agree with what Professor Arne Krokan says, “There are many ways social media can promote or destroy careers,”. Social media can make or break the career path you want to take. We as social media users have to watch what content we post because can tarnish the way people sees us. Also I didn’t know this until Nick Zargoski says this, "The analysis showed people using seven to eleven social media platforms have a three-time risk of depression and anxiety than people using zero to two social media platforms,”.  We need to tell our younger generation that these celebrities go through the same trials and tribulations like everyone else. Just because they are celebrities doesn’t give them the green card to not go through anything. What we love about the celebrities are the things they go through and how they positively got their way out of the situation.

The Best Source of my Cause of a Failed Long-Distance Relationship

The best source of my previous essay is the fact that “I know” a little bit about a failed long-distance relationship. Usually long-distance relationships don’t last long because of one of the reason is the money it takes for the couple to see each other. Like what Gallagher said, “Love is not cheap”. The formula for a financial problem is the more significant the distance, the larger the transportation bills (Gallagher). Then the couple can’t talk long on the phone because they might have other things or a job to attend. What really kill the couple whose in a long-distance relationship is time zones. When they have different time zones this can be unhealthy for the couple because one of them is staying up all night trying to talk to their lover. The best thing to do in a long-distance relationship is end it because you are only wasting each others time and money they could keep in their pockets.

"Fixing" What Isn't Broken

The major argument that this essay discuss is that pet owners should get their pets neutered. This essay was informative because I think dogs or cats could get the same illness like humans do if they eat the same food as humans do. To be honest I don’t believe that because most dog or cat disease are hereditary from mom and dad just like humans. I don’t think a dog or cat will run away from their lovely and nice home to find a mate to have babies with, I have never heard of that before. But I can’t say that because all dogs or cats are different from the other even if they are from the same breed. The problem is the writer of this essay is coming up with things that don’t make any sense. They didn’t cite those crazy thoughts and to me it sound like they thought this up. The writer was just wanting to get this essay over with and not look back on it.

Gay Marriage

Everyone has a problem with gay marriage. I don’t have a problem with a gay marriage because I believe in you love who you love. Plus its none of business to tell SOMEONE ELSE who they SHOULD love and what they SHOULD like. That’s not my place nor anyone else place to ruin someone who likes the same sex. Because WE are NOT in that RELATIONSHIP so we all need to mind our business and relationship. Same sex relationships have the same rights into marriage just like straight relationships do. The government shouldn’t exclude them from marriage rights because they not LOVING the person YOU believe they should be with. At the end of day WE all have a right to love WHO WE WANT and WE all DESERVE to be and to feel love even if its different than the “NORMAL” type of love. Always stay TRUE to WHO you are and DON’T change because SOMEONE else say you don’t fit the IMAGE. Its better to stay yourself and love who you and the people who rock with you will love you for who you are and not something you not.

The Rise or Fall of a Student's Success

When the school year begin, a student know if they will have a great or horrible school year until it progress to the end of that year. During that year, a student can have a successful year when they are making good grades in their classes. The student could be recognize for something and get an award for it or get a scholarship. They have good homelife with a few bumps in the road that don’t affect their performance. The student could be in a sport team or club that take their mind off of school and homelife. Another thing is they go to exciting school activities. The student could have a horrible school year when they have tragic death in the family. The death can cause the student to get a low class average on their report card. The student could be going through some mental illness or some stressful homelife. They might get bully at school and can’t say anything about it or don’t know how to ask for help from school officials.

The Consequences of World War II

How I know the writer was talking about the effects of the World War II is they talk about the Soviet Union losing over 24 million of their people and the other 21 million who didn’t die was left homeless. Britain and France’s empires fell due to the war. Due to the fall of their empires fallen, the European boundaries had redrawn. The United States had a huge increase of their population of the time due to the baby boom. With the baby boom in action this caused the Social Security taxes increased than the taxed income of the people working around that time. World War II caused the continued of the Cold War because of the expenses of the war costing the United States over $95 million. Not only that they (United States) spent over billions of dollars just to improve the military power.

Stephen King

I agree with what Stephen King said about why people love horror movies. Horror takes the viewers into a fake reality where we are living the experience with our favorite characters. The way the killer kills their victims makes it feel like they are doing those psychotic and cruel things to us. The killer’s backstory is well develop and makes the audience understand the reason why they killing people. For example, in the Scream movie franchise, the killer (Ghostface)  is recording a real life movie where they murder real life people so they can be famous. Ghostface wants Sidney Prescott in their movie because of her backstory with her mother. So, every Scream movie the killer is making movie within a movie. What makes the horror movies good because the killer is hard kill and comes back for more killing new people and somehow go after their old victims from the previous movie or who they had a history with.

Challenges of This Last Few Weeks of the Semester

In CVCC, I’ve learned about my classes but about myself. The hardest thing about these last few weeks is not only the classes, but getting the assignments done and what is my final class average. I only have 3 ½ classes which is English 101, Math 100 (my worst and least favorite subject, who even created this confusing and difficult subject) , and Western History, and Speech 107 (I almost done with that class by this Thursday) that I have to worry about is my grades and making sure I pass all those classes. I say that it is my most stressful part of this semester or any semester for me. What makes it stressful is the fact that I’m on an academic scholarship and I want to still maintain this scholarship. So, I want to meet the requirements for my scholarship so, I will not have my mom paying for all these expensive book and tuition fees. This week and next week is very important for me because this is my make or break moment for my college scholarship.

All About Me!!!!

My birthday was 2 weeks ago. The day I get to be one step closer to adulthood that I love and dread the most about. It was a special day for me! I didn’t have to go to school or worry about the homework since I did it the day before. I woke up to get spoiled by friends and family sending me happy birthday messages that warmed my heart. That whole day I basically went out to eat for breakfast and lunch to settle down for dinner with my grandma’s cooking. For my presents, I got a lot of things! I got a gold necklace with my name on it, a new game system with some games to go with it, A Himalayan salt color lamp (which love the most at night), some Victoria’s Secret lotions, and many other stuff. That is one of the birthdays I will never forget for the rest of my life!!!!

Difference b/w College and High School

The difference between high school and college is a thin line that can easily be recognize. High School you have a Friday night football game that you see all your friends go. In high school you have less pressure about college and you get to live life. You don’t have to worry about tuitions, books, and boards to pay for or you need to get a job really. College is a different ballpark than high school.You get to discover yourself more (freely) in college because your peers and other older adults don’t care about what you do. Teachers in college can be difficult about the work so even for both high school and college. The assignments you have about a week to do in college but in high school you have the next day to the weekend to get it done. College is different than high school because you get to pick the time you come to school and what you want to study instead of spending 8 hours at school for 12 years learning boring subjects you do not have to study for.

Harley Quinn and The Evil Queen

My two favorite villains of all time is Harley Quinn and The Evil Queen. Harley Quinn is my favorite because she reminds me a little bit of myself. We are both crazy in different ways. Her crazy involves killing people and my crazy involves letting karma or the wind of time getting the people doing me wrong. Another thing I like about Harley Quinn is her outfits in different Batman specials. Tara Strong, the one who voice Harley Quinn does awesome job playing her. Tara Strong is one of my favorite voice actress of all time. The Evil Queen is my favorite villain because on Once Upon A Time. I like that they made her more than the Evil Queen herself. They gave her a storyline that explains why she hate Snow White so much besides being prettier than her.

My favorite and least favorite subjects

My favorite class is Western History and my least favorite class is math. Western History is my favorite subject because learning about the ancient half of the country of Europe is awesome. It seems more interesting than learning about America. America coming up is not interesting learning about how Ancient China use to kill the traitors or war enemies. My least favorite subject is math is my not my strong suit. The reason behind it it because one it is so boring and lame. Math have too many complicated formulas to remember and the problems get too much. The answer can get be 1 or more and the answer got to exact or its wrong. Then there are many different ways to get the correct answer.

My favorite desserts

I don’t think I have a favorite dessert. Maybe because I’m not a dessert type of person. But if I have to pick my 2 favorite desserts which will be Chip Ahoy cookies and icing off cakes or cupcakes. Chip Ahoy cookies are the best cookies in the world. That is the only cookie I will eat, but it is so crunchy but chewy thanks to the small chocolate chips. Another dessert I like which is weird is icing off cupcake and cakes. The reason behind it is ever since I was little I just didn’t like the breading of the cake. The icing is the best thing of the cake. The icing is sweet and I like the colors of the cake representing its different theme every time I look at the 

cake.

The Only Friend

I know, I’m suppose to talk about the three types of friends but I only have one friend. So i’m going to be talking about her. I say her personality is kinda similar to mine (of course because she is my best friend). But she also a bit different than me. She is one of those rare helpful friends that come around. Before she helps you, she lay down some facts to what she thinks is right. That good because knowing me I’ll do the wrong thing knowing its wrong and move on with it. But she taught me a lot about things and help me see the world a bit differntly than I did before. Being her best friend is the best thing that happened to me in my life

Guide through College Life

A few things I wish someone would tell me about college is make sure all your admissions  forms are in order. You do not want to spend the whole orientation time make sure your admissions is correct so you will not be missing out on the early morning classes. Another thing to make sure to do is always be one step ahead of your class so you can live a stress free semester. People always say college is hard, which is true. But if you are one step ahead of the game, college wouldn’t be that hard. Make sure to make new friends in each of your classes so if you miss one day of class then your friend can tell you what you miss.

A Little bit Harder

I say even though we didn’t really start our second essay yet. I’ll say the first essay was the easiest one. The first essay we get to discuss about our person that died or moved away or talk about our college experience about getting into CVCC. In normal essays we can’t use personal pronouns like me, I, and you in the essay but in the first essay we can because we are talking “about” ourselves. Which was easier because in conversations we always talk about ourselves. So it is natural to write the words me, I, and you in our essay and sentences. When writing an essay it is hard not to write the words we say in conversations and text messages. If you write the words me, you, and I in the essay, you will be deducted points for writing that because it is not a proper thing to do in an essay.  

The Truth About College

When you are in high school, you as a student don’t have the weight of the world on your shoulders. Once you are out in the real world and college the world and all of its problem is on your shoulders, back, and in your mind. One of the problems the college students have is the work of subjects. In high school you should be able to balance out the schoolwork right? But when college comes to play it's totally different. High school teachers always warn the students that in college, the professors or teachers will not remind you about your assignment that are due. I know that we are “adults” and that we should remember our assignments due dates and remember to do them. Like all humans we have our days where we would forget about the assignments because of work, family emergency, relaxing, and having fun with our friends. As college students we have a life outside of school and our minds slip up. So it is true college students often struggle to balance out school work with the demands of everyday life.

Social media is destroying the world today

Back in the old days where a special time to talk to strangers and get to know them for who they are. In 2018, where technology have advanced from Facebook to Instagram, it is hard to have a face-to-face conversation with strangers. The evidence behind it is, when you meet someone (or before meeting someone), people will look up your social media account to see the type of person you are. Then social media leave a chance for people to comment under your pictures (or blogs) about how they feel about you or the things you do. It can really tear down some people’s self-confidence. Another thing is social media does that it gives people a chance to stalk on your social media page without you even knowing. In this day and age creeps are coming up with more ways to watch you without you even knowing and this is one of the ways stalkers do, they lure on your page!!!! To the point they probably know your whole schedule of your day!!

Bestie

My ideal bestie. I can say I already found my bestie! My bestie should act somewhat like me but different (because opposites attract like magnets): quiet, nice, funny, and easy to talk to about anything. I want my bestie to have an opinion of his or her own. I also want a bestie who isn’t afraid to speak or tell me the truth. A bestie who can easily can come to me and talk to me about his or her problems without worrying if I will say something out the way. The same thing for my bestie that I will come to tell with an problem and not be afraid of being judged or made funny about my issues. A bestie who will always be there for me when I need her, and the same for my bestie as I will always be there for him or her. 

Watch out for these types of teachers!

   

The worst example of teaching is letting a student wander off on their own without giving them directions or enough information to understand what is going on. There are teachers out there that will throw their students with a pack of wolves and tell them to try to defend themselves. That’s the worst thing you can do as a teacher. Another worst type of teaching is when the teacher is not excited about teaching their subject. I always wonder why this teacher became a teacher? Like did your parents force you to be a teacher because it is a family thing or you dreams got crushed so much that this was your only option? I know you teach the same material about 5 to 8 times a day for about 10 or more years. The least you can do it excite for me to learn and be interested in what you are talking about. If you don’t like to be a teacher then don’t waste my learning opportunity on you standing up front at the board looking as bored as me.

Rick Riordan!

The person I would love to talk the most is Rick Riordan! At an young age, I  was forced to read books for certain points for an grade in English. That's when I read the Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. I say that's when my love for Greek and Roman mythology blossomed! In the book, there was a girl named Annabeth (daughter of Athena, goddess of war and wisdom) which she soon became Percy's longtime girlfriend! She was strong and she was smart which showed me that girls can be warriors instead of damsels in distress like how tv shows and other books display. If I was hanging around Rick Riordan I would help him write his upcoming book! I would ask him questions like what inspired him to write the Percy Jackson series along with his other books? I would also ask him what everyday people in his life inspired to make and develop the characters of the book? I would politely ask him can he write a story and make a female character modeled after me!!

Hurting Animals Hurts America! :(

I say the best kindness in the world is helping the stray, abusive, and broken animals in the world. I can’t stand to see a dog, a cat, or any animal being abused because of someone or something did wrong by them. The kindness I’ve seen is that Dawn commercial when they washed all the little ducks, seals, and other animals that got stuck in the oil. The people even sent them back in their natural habitats all fresh and clean and not in zoo for human entertainment. Another act of kindness I’ve seen are the people who made these adaptation program for almost extinct animals like tigers, elephants, and killer whales to save them from poachers. It’s sad that people well hunters are killing them because of their tusks and skin for top dollar. What these hunters are failing to realize that’s wrong to kill an animal to the people there are none left out here in the world. The only time we could see a tiger, elephant, and killer whale are in the zoo which are no better unless they set them free after they repopulate enough to survive

My Little Drum

My favorite toy as a little girl was this little drum kit! The drum kit was about as small as me! Even though the drum was small, it packed a huge bang so loud you could probably hear me from a mile away! I was never good at playing the drums when I was a little girl. I say only good that drum gave me that it was enough to drive my family crazy when I play it! The drum had a ceramic glittery red with a hint of silver going around the drum. On both sides of the drum was hooks where I can be the drum straps on it so it can be played from around my neck. Yet I prefer to play with it on the floor. The top or the covering of the drum was a creamy white color. It reminded me the color of the clouds during a perfect sunny Saturday afternoon.

Loud Talking Drives Me Crazy!!!!!

The thing that drives me crazy or my gears crazy is when people talking loud when they don’t have too. The person that you want to talk too is right next to you!!!!! So why do you want everyone else around you to listen to your lame conversation? People also talk loud while they are on the phone at the grocery store or other places that are suppose to be civil and calm!! Why bring your loud energy over here like #1 it's too early for all this!!! and #2 where did you get all this energy from??? I especially don’t like it when people have the person they are talking to on speaker out in public like anyone wants to hear your whole back and forth conversation!! Can you please do us all favor and not kill our eardrums and use your inside voice. Is that too much to ask for?

My car!!!!

My car is a black like a black panther. Its emblem is a silver color that shines in the light of the sun. The inside of my car interior is a tannish brown color with a regular brown coloring. On the air vent, I have an febreze car freshener. The reason behind the air freshener because I believe if the car looks clean then it needs to smell clean as well! In the armrest department I keep a couple more air freshener that haven’t been opened yet along with my keypad to get home. Overall my car is my baby that I wouldn’t let go!

My Issues with Writing!!

The most frustrating thing about writing a paper for me is knowing when I write a run-on sentence and to know when to use commas and semicolons. It's easy for me to write a paper but the thing is when it comes down to a sentence structure I don’t know what to do. I kind of start to panic thinking I’m misusing the comma when I should use a semicolon. I might worry about having a run-on sentence in my paper. To the point where I can’t identify them or I will think that the sentence is correct. Another thing I worry about is to how to fix a run-on sentence because I don’t know the proper way to fix it to turn it into a complete sentence. So I just make it into two different sentence. 

My favorite song!!!

I got to say my favorite song for the time being is Ocean by TK Kravitz featuring Jacquees! This whole song gave me a beach summer vibe all the way! When I hear the song, I think about being on beach walking in the afternoon sun! My favorite lines of the song is “can I take a dive in your ocean”! I can’t go at least a day without hearing or thinking about the song! TK Kravitz and Jacquees was match made for the song! I’m glad they didn’t give it to another artist to sing the song because it wouldn’t be the same without them!

My Biggest Social Media Pet Peeve!!!

I say my biggest social media pet peeve is when people post things on their account that doesn’t make sense at all. For instance, when someone post a picture of themselves and they have a caption that doesn't make sense with the picture at all. That really drives me crazy!!!! But maybe I'm just overreacting or just expecting for things to add up with each other but the caption isn’t working for me. A real life example is when someone takes a picture and the caption would be “Looking like a bag a money” with different types of emojis.

That’s cute and all but the picture you took don’t look like a bag of money when you have on a white dirty Hank tank top with some torn up black air Jordon’s basketball shorts because you think you’re going to be the next Lebron James.

Then you have the nerve to pair the outfit up with some CLEAN SHOES fresh out of the BOX, and then you have a SMALL CHAIN that you got from Walmart. You call that looking like a bag of money? More like you lost a fight with Freddy Krueger and you somehow made it to the end of the movie alive. I’m so done with people! Goodbye!!
